Qualifications & Training Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine engineering, mechanical fitting, or equivalent Valid welding/fitter certification authorized by a recognized authority Practical experience with marine diesel engines, generators, propulsion systems, and associated piping and fittings;
1.1 Machinists operate and maintain steam turbines and reduction gears used for ship propulsion and auxiliary machinery such as turbogenerators, pumps and oil purifiers. 1.2 Maintain auxiliary machinery outside of main machinery spaces, such as electrohydraulic steering
